2nd US Flight with Indian Migrants to Land in Amritsar Tonight

119 Indians Deported from the US

A second flight carrying 119 Indian migrants deported from the United States is set to land at Amritsar International Airport between 10 pm and 11 pm tonight. This comes as part of US President Donald Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration.

Who’s on the Flight?

The deported individuals include:

  • 67 from Punjab
  • 33 from Haryana
  • 8 from Gujarat
  • 3 from Uttar Pradesh
  • 2 each from Rajasthan and Maharashtra
  • 1 each from Goa, Jammu and Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh

They are being flown back in a C-17 US military aircraft, the same type of plane used last week to deport 104 illegal Indian immigrants.

More Flights Coming Soon

Reports say deportation flights will continue every two weeks until all illegal Indian migrants in the US are sent back.

PM Modi’s Response on Illegal Migration

These deportations come just after PM Narendra Modi’s visit to the US, where he met with President Trump to discuss key issues, including immigration.

“Most of these people come from simple families and are misled by human traffickers who sell them false dreams. The US and India must work together to end this system,” PM Modi said.

More Deportation Flights Expected

India’s Ministry of External Affairs has informed the Bureau of Civil Aviation that two more flights carrying deported migrants will land in Amritsar this weekend.

As the US tightens its immigration policies, many undocumented Indians are being sent back home. The question remains: Will this crackdown continue, or is this just the beginning?
